Happy Pride Month to everyone! I wanted to let you know that no matter where you are in your journey, you a loved, valued and a unique, beautiful individual.

Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall riots, which began on June 28, 1969, after police raided the Stonewall Inn bar in NYC. This prompted a series of riots that continued for three days. This uprising sparked the gay rights movement and the establishment of organizations supporting LGBTQ+ rights.
Today, Pride Month is celebrated worldwide. This year, it’s more important than ever to not only celebrate Pride Month, but to be supportive of those around you who are in the LGBTQ+ community. By March of this year, nearly 240 anti-LGBTQ+ bills had been filed. Read that again. Two hundred and forty. That number was only 41 in all of 2018. It’s sad and frankly, terrifying.
So, this Pride Month, consider what you can do to help. Show your support and attend a Pride Parade near you. Donate to the Trevor Project or another LGBTQ+ charity.
Happy Pride Month, friends.
