I recently started a new thing on my personal FB account and thought, why not here?

I tend to have deep conversations with myself in the shower. So I have decided to share them.

Below is yesterday’s:

I was in the shower this morning and was debating what kind of soap to use. I told myself “you should save that soap for your bath tonight — it’s special.”

Then I told myself “no,” every single moment we’re alive is special. I got up and was able to take a shower. That’s special. I got to come to work today and argue with a spreadsheet (LOL) and that, too, is special. Because I GET to do it.

Needless to say, I used the “special” soap this morning.

So, with all that said: don’t wait for a special occasion to use the soap, eat the dinner, use the fancy plates, etc. Do it all now. Eat on the fancy china. Soak in a bath instead of a shower in the morning. Get yourself the fancy coffee. Write with the fancy fountain pen.

Because, life is special. And beautiful.

Sometimes it’s hard for us to see it, I know, but it truly is.
