I’ve always believed the best way to experience a place is to slow down. Wander without a plan. Take the side streets. Notice the details.

In Chicago, though, I found myself doing one thing over and over again. I looked up.
Every block revealed another architectural masterpiece, from historic buildings that have stood for generations to glass skyscrapers reflecting the clouds. Standing beneath them is a reminder of just how big the world really is.

As much as I love exploring Kansas backroads and quiet small towns, Chicago offered a different kind of beauty. Here, the skyline became the landscape. The energy, the history, and the stories hidden behind thousands of windows made every walk feel like an adventure.
Travel isn’t about choosing between cities or country roads. It’s about finding wonder wherever your feet take you.

Sometimes, all you have to do is look up.
