Start anew at any moment

This post was inspired by a bad morning recently that I didn’t want to turn into a bad day. I was lacking sleep (insomnia sucks) and was adjusting to a new eating style so my body was a bit in flux and angry with me.

My attitude that day was so bad I couldn’t even stand myself, so why can’t I turn it around? And I did.

I catch myself a lot of the times telling myself “tomorrow is a new day” or “things will be better tomorrow.” On the particular day mentioned above, I decided that’s not good enough. We don’t have to have an entire bad day. I took an extra long walk after lunch, parking my car at the far end of where I work. I re-focused on the good rather than dwelling on the million things (it seems) in my life that is a challenge right now.

By the time I got back to my office, having given myself a pep talk, it was like my bad morning never happened. I stopped, re-set and re-tuned my day. As I’ve written before, we are responsible for the energy we bring into spaces, and that includes the energy we bring toward ourselves.

Your bad morning doesn’t have to be a bad day. You don’t have to wait until tomorrow to have a good day or re-set. You can re-set at any time.

Happy Friday, friends. I hope you have a good day today!
