Sweeping, mopping and dog washing…oh my!!
Yes, Brandy is officially on vacation! Yay! But no, it hasn’t been any picnic so far. Getting ready for a week-long vacation is really a pain I might add. The house has to be cleaned. There’s endless packing and making sure I’m taking everything I might need and want in Colorado. But I’m keeping in mind that it is worth it. It’s just a little frustrating right now.
We’ll start with last night. Eddie, who you see above, is my mother’s beautiful bird. He got out of the house and flew up a tree — this just after we dropped the turtles off at her house. Oh man, and we had the brigade out last night. The apartment manager and two workers, a ladder, a water hose and anything we thought would bring the bird down. To make a long story short (because I’m tired) the bird ended up coming down but flying away again. This time, we had no luck finding him. Good news on this front, however, mom found the bird this morning! He was hollering in a tree clear across the apartment complex. Thank goodness!! The bird kinda actually grew on me!
Next, today. From cleaning to packing and dog washing, I did it all. Oh, and there was a nap in there as well!! I decided I was entitled since we didn’t get to bed until after 3 a.m. We were tired. To the right is PJ, who was the first dog to 
get a bath. This was taken right before he escaped soaking wet out of the bathroom. I chased him around the couch four times grimacing each time because I knew the floor was getting wetter and wetter. So by this time my house smelled like dusting spray, pine sol, incense and you guessed it, WET DOG. What a combination. Um…EW!

Next dog to get a bath was Mayiah. Now the next time you’re having a bad day, look at this picture and yeah..you get what I’m saying. She had a REALLY bad day! Poor baby! Mommy is sorry! She looks a little upset here!
So, here I am getting ready to head back to packing. Next stop 4th of July! I’ll post up some good pictures of that. Saturday it’s Colorado!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
